From FutureIT Wiki
- Go to 'Add/Remove Programs' in Windows Control Panel.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server (version) (instance)' and remove.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server Native Client' and remove.
- Find 'MSXML 4.0' and remove.
If SQL Server version is higher than 2000 you will also need to remove the following programs:
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server (version) Browser' and remove.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server (version) Backward Compatibility' and remove.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server (version) Policies' and remove.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server (version) Setup Support Files' and remove.
- Find 'Microsoft SQL Server VSS Writer' and remove.
- Find 'MSXML 6.0 Parser' and remove.
Once you have removed all of the above programs, delete the Microsoft SQL Server folder which is located by default at: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server.
