Database connection manager appears when starting kwiklook

Reported Fault

"When attempting to start kwiklook the kwiklook Database Connection Manager appears."

Symptoms

The kwiklook Database Connection Manager appears and selecting OK does nothing and kwiklook does not start.

Cause

1. Autologon is not enabled in Local Settings.
2. kwiklook could not make a connection with SQL Server.
3. The parameters in the Database Connection Manager are incorrect.

Remedy

1. Select the Autologon option and click Connect.
2. Check that SQL Server is running on the kwiklook Server computer and that the application is able to run and connect on the Server.
3. Check the log-on parameters in the Database Connection Manager. The defaults are:
   1. Server Name: "<ComputerName>\kwiklook".
   2. Database Name: "kwiklook".
   3. User Name: "kwiklook".
   4. User Password: "kwiklook".
