This topic describes the Installation process for mobile kwiklook.

On the designated mobile kwiklook Server computer:

  1. Download and save all mobile kwiklook setup components.
  2. Create Directory FutureIT\mobile kwiklook\.
  3. Copy the directory files to the mobile kwiklook directory.
  4. Create Windows Profile (default is 'kwiklook') and password (default is 'kwiklook1$').

  1. Download the Change Tracking SQL Scripts here. Extract the zip file, and navigate to 'Setup Scripts\mobile kwiklook'.
  2. Run the 'EnableDatabaseChangeTracking' script. This script will set (check) values:
    • Server Properties > Retention Period = 30 (Days) - Default is '2'.
    • Database Properties > Options | Compatibility Level = 'SQL Server 2008 (100)'.
  3. Run the 'EnableTablesChangeTracking' script.

[edit] Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)

Create Website under IIS:

  1. Add website titled 'mobile kwiklook'.

Set Website Properties:

  1. Set the Website Properties 'Directory Path' to the mobile kwiklook root: '...\FutureIT\mobile kwiklook'.
  2. In the Advanced tab, remove all content pages. Then add 'mobilekwiklookSyncWS.asmx'.
  3. In the ASP.NET tab, Select ASP.Net Version:2.0. 50727 or later.
  4. In the Home Directory tab, Execute Permissions = Scripts only; Application Pool = DefaultAppPool.

Check default settings in Applications Pool Properties:

  1. DefaultAppPool > Properties > Identity.
    1. Predefined = NT AUTHORITY\Network Service (for Windows Server 2003).

Check Web Service Extensions:

  1. Enable 'ASP.NET v2.0.50727'.
  2. Enable 'Internet Data Connector'.
  3. Enable 'Active Server Pages'.

Set Website Login:

  1. Logon to mobile kwiklook Server (default URL: '\\local...').
  2. Run mobile kwiklook Server Manager and enter logon parameters:
    • 'Domain'
    • 'Logon Name'
    • 'Password'
    • 'IIS Account' = <Machine Name>\ASPNET for Windows XP, or 'NT ATHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE' for Windows 2003 Server.

  1. mobile kwiklook Client Setup.
    • This will create the mobile kwiklook directory under the root of the selected storage drive.
    • kwiklook.sdf - Enterprise / Core SQL Compact Data File is copied here.
    • kwiklook_[userID].sdf - Facility SQL Data File is created here afer sync.
    • mobile kwiklook - runtime is copied here.
